Don’t pack up the skis and snowboards just yet.  There’s Winter Carnival fun at our local Brandywine and Boston Mills ski resorts. 

FRIDAY, MARCH 12TH
9PM POLAR BLAST SNOW TUBING AREA, BRANDY WINE
Zipflbobbed lately?  Red Bull Energy drink supplies the zipflbobs you sit on and steer with a joy stick.  Teams of three race down the chutes.  All must cross finish line to win.  Fastest team wins a Snow Tubing Party for 25!  Registration 5PM-8:30PM in the lodge.  (Must sign additional release agreement or parent’s signature required if under 18 years).  Valid tubing ticket required.

SATURDAY, MARCH 13TH
10AM-2PM ZOO VISIT, BOSTON MILLS
Talk to the animals as staff from Cleveland Metroparks Zoo visits Boston Mills!  A variety of animals will be brought for you to learn from.  Free.

10AM ST. PATRICK’S DUALS AT CROYLE RACE SLOPE BOSTON MILLS
Feelin’ Lucky?  Test yourself in this two run Giant Slalom Qualifier.   Fastest 8 times of each group advances to elimination rounds that afternoon.  Awards given to top four in each group.  Registration 8:30AM- 9:30AM outside information office.  Age groups are 11 and under, 12-17, 18-40 and 41 & over.  Men, Women and Snowboarders are combined.  Cost is $10.

11AM GARBAGE BAG RACE AT SUMMIT RUN, BOSTON MILLS
Ages 12 and under and 13 and over.  Brandywine supplies the bag, you supply the sled (your body).  Put the bag on and slide on your backside.  Pre-Registration at REGISTRATION AREA in the main lodge (9AM-10:30AM).  Winner in each division gets a Tubing Party for 10!  Must complete liability release or have parent signature if under 18 years.  Must have valid snow pass/lift ticket. 

12 NOON KIDS RACE BUTTERMILK RUN, BOSTON MILLS
New this year, ages 5-12.  A challenge to all participants yet kind to their ability level.  Winners in the following catagories 5-9 ski, 5-9 snowboard, 10-12 ski and 10-12 snowboard will receive $25 snowcards.  All participants receive swag!  Register REGISTRATION AREA in the lodge 10AM-11:30AM.  Must have parent’s signature on liability release and valid snow pass/lift ticket.

2:30PM SLOSH PIT, BASE OF TIGER, BOSTON MILLS
First 100 entrants only!  Make it across the slosh pit and receive a T-shirt.  Best trick wins $25 gift card to Buckeye Sports Center.  Registration 10AM-1:30PM.  Must complete liability release and have parent signature if under 18 years.  Must have valid snowpass/lift ticket.  Change of clothes a good idea.
