Redesigned JakPak available in March 2010

JakPakTM, the world’s first all in one waterproof jacket, tent, and sleeping bag, was introduced in 2009 by Active Engineering LLC. The JakPak provides safety and comfort for emergency preparedness and for situations where limited breathability is better. It replaces your bivouac set up and costs less than purchasing a bivy and jacket separately.

Active Engineering LLC has announced that a newly designed JakPak will be available at retailers in March 2010. The newly designed version will stay consistent to the JakPak’s current concept but will be better as a stand alone jacket.

“JakPak was born out of a desire to provide shelter for those who need it most, but our audience reaches well beyond disaster victims and homeless.” said Terry Jensen, inventor and co-owner of Active Engineering, parent company of JakPak. “We wanted to address the needs of the outdoor and sports enthusiasts and provide a truly versatile product that can be used by choice, but is ready for you when you need it most.” Jensen continued.

The 2010 JakPak will come in five sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL) and have an MSRP of $249.
