Though it's long been public knowledge, and pretty evident to anyone with a TV and the will to watch either TMZ or a hockey game (her presence at Sens games would be pretty hard to explain otherwise); country music star, and former American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood made a surprise appearance on the Ellen Degeneres show this morning, and confirmed her romantic involvement with Senators center, Mike Fisher.
Underwood confirmed that she and Fisher have been dating over a year now, and were introduced by one of her bandmates. The show aired the morning after Fisher scored two goals in a win over the rival Toronto Maple Leafs. This confirmation places Fisher in the spotlight at a time when his on-ice performance is also earning him plenty of attention, as he has started the year hot, leading his team with nine goals through 18 games, and adding seven assists, and a plus-3 rating.

Okay 1)Wasnt a surprise we have known she was going to be there a long time ago! 2) This ISNT the frist time she has talked about him or "confirmed" their relationship! and 3) She said today on Ellen the one where she "confirmed their relationship" that it has been ALMOST a year not over a year!! funny how people get thigs wrong like that, yet again mabey its the people reporting it!!
I think it is great that Carrie feels secure enough to actually talk a little about her relationship with Mike. I wish them the best! Carrie is so talented, classy and actually has morals. She is an excellent role model for girls today. Love her and her new album Play On. It is an amazing showcase of her new music. I can't wait to see her on the AMAs.
i admire how she keeps her personal life private, she was very careful with the questions ellen was asking her about with marriage and kids...she is smart because she doesnt want to go all "jessica simpson" and scare the man away by coming off needy and clingy...i think she defiitely as thought about that but she of course prefers not to go public about that..jessica should take some notes..and not just about this, but also how real singers should sing...carrie is awesome and very beautifull!!

We still hope that Carrie will save her hometown movie theater. I don't know her personally, but I know that she is a wonderful person.
