CHEA (Christian Home Educators Association) of California will be offering many free events and offers at the 2009 Annual Homeschool Convention, held on July 9, 10 & 11 at the Long Beach Convention Center.
Free admission for parents of preschoolers:
Parents of preschoolers may receive free admission to the convention for one day (Friday or Saturday) if their oldest child is five and under and they have never attended a CHEA Convention before. Reservations by phone are required. Call 562-864-2432.
Free Introduction to Home Education session:
A free informational session geared to new homeschoolers or those considering homeschooling will be offered on Thursday, July 9, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. The parking fee is extra.
Free Pastor’s Information Session:
All pastors are invited to attend a free introductory session on Thursday, July 9, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. The parking fee is extra.

Free showing of Exposing a Trojan Horse:
The Exposing a Trojan Horse DVD will be shown free of charge to convention attendees and the general public on Friday, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Free family-friendly movies at the CHEA convention:
Convention attendees may attend a special showing of the movie,
Pendragon, Sword of His Father, on Friday night at 8:30 p.m.
Pendragon was created by a homeschool family.
On Saturday night at 7:00 p.m., attendees will be treated to a free sneak preview of
The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry, a Rich Christano film coming to theatres in September.
