Stay-at-home mom, Katy Abram, harassed by Dems to uncontrollable tears

Being harrassed and trashed by Dem-wits

Thursday, August 13, 2009—On the Glenn Beck radio program this morning I heard Katy Abram, 35-year old mom, who asked Arlen Specter, with boldness, a question at a town hall meeting. She was sobbing uncontrollably as she reported how the unscrupulous left had been calling her cell phone, emailing her constant threats and vile vitriol. The harassment didn’t stop there it bled over to harassing her father’s business.

Honestly this broke my heart and I felt helpless because I had no way to help her. This young patriotic woman is another victim of the Obama Acorn goons. Remember Joe the Plumber and the vitriol he suffered from the Obama thugs? This has to stop and remember this when you go to the polls in 2010. The mean-spirited Democrat machine has to be stopped and held accountable for their actions.

More on to come on this story later today.

Joe the Plumber cooked his own goose and then abandoned the Republican party. This party used him, used Sarah Palin and now is using this stay-at-home Mom. They all are, all sides. What did she expect?

    Greg,

What is an Obama Acorn thug? Katy has now been on every major news network, it's not surprising she is getting much attention. If she is indeed getting threatening calls, I hope she is reporting them to authorities. However at this point there's no proof of who's done what...

"i dont want to tell me kids in 10 years time, Why do we have to wait in line for toilet paper?"

lol, she is a right wing goon

An interesting part of the fox video was when she admitted she was not from the area, and that she was on vacation. These meetings are for local constituents general worries and not for out of towners. She also appeared on 2 cables channels (which is quite odd for an average joe soap to do while they are on vacation)... i get the feeling something is not quite right here.

    Gregory,

Where is your outrage at all the people holding nazi signs at this event? When the Dixie Chicks a few years ago said they were embarrassed by Bush, Fox News and conservatives went off on them for months calling them unpatriotic, hurting the morale of the troops, and bashed them to no end. But these same people are now silent over nazi references about our President and I guess our troops morale doesn't matter like it did when the Dixie Chicks made their statements. The hypocrisy is beyond belief.

Also, if these right wing nazi sign holders are so against socialism, then why don't they demand that medicare, medicaid and social security be banned immediately as these are all government run socialized programs. I have conservatives in my family who are outraged at these Town Hall protestors. This going to bite the GOP in the you know what come election time. It's sad how the GOP has become the angry old southern party.

I know Katy Abram, I went to school with her. She did not say she wasn't from the area. She said she DOES live in the Lebanon area, only 5 minutes from the town hall meeting location. She simply meant that she was not working this day because she took a vacation day to celebrate her anniversary and choose to spend the day going to this town hall meeting. Please get your facts straight before you start attacking people.

The comments on how medicare is a "socialist entity" is wacky, many of us have all been paying into that medical savings account for years and years. We have earned the right to draw on it when we reach retirement age. What has been squandering our money is the bloated pig of government we have, illegal immigrants and bogus welfare recipients utilizing the medical system on our dime. There has to be a much better way to bridge the gap between the insured and the uninsured than completely dismantle what we have now. Maybe we should start with all government employees/politicians replacing their premium plans with what most of us in the real world have, for a savings of who knows what...bet that would never happen. Your a brave woman Katy, don't let them get you down. Thanks for speaking out, and they don't know how many are waking up.

    Bridget,
No one is looking to dismantle health care. These are scare tactics put out by Fox News that you take as fact. The ignorance of some of my fellow countrymen is astounding. And yes, Medicare and Medicaid is socialism, period. You are entitled to your opinion, but not your own set of facts. Someone screamed out at a recent Town Hall that no where in the Constitution does it say that we are entitled to health care. He is correct. But the Constitution also doesn't say we are entitled to food, so should we all starve poor people who can't afford to put food on the table?

Winston Churchill once said that “The best argument against Democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.” Hearing the ignorance of these crazies at the Town Hall sadly proves his point. I am 100% convinced if Glen Beck and Bill O'Reilly insisted the earth was flat, these same people would believe it without question and bash anyone who tried to point out that it's really round

This is just great. Let's call this woman a liar now. Just like the Gates police officer. Libs claim to be for the common man but just like that Obama and Hilliary hero Socialist community organizer mastermind Saul Alinsky said, they really hate the middle class but they need them so they can win votes and get more power. The libs continue to promote class warfare to the people so they won't complain when they use their power to forcibly take away private property from the "rich". What they don't realize is that the same power they give the federal government will also be used on them soon enough. It's just like Animal Farm and 1984. We have thought crime ala political correctness and a racist Chicago thug "community organizer" as President so what did we all expect?!? Does no one remember how Obama used lawyers and thugs to either get nominees kicked off the nomination ticket or scare them from running so he could win his first election in Chicago?!? They even showed it on PBS

    Mary,
Having worked in healthcare for 35 years and having been married to someone who was a provider for both MC and MA I think I have a pretty good handle on the fleecing of both programs. There were many on MA that should have just quit having babies and gotten a job. I worked in clinical areas and submitted claims.... and worked in hospitals and clinics and saw the mess from both sides. My husband is making more money driving truck than he did as a professional with 2 degrees. There is rationing in both programs now, when the whole country is enrolled it will be a nightmare. Good luck finding a provider, they will all quit. It will not be the kind of care we are use to by any means, the limitations of diagnostics will take us back to the stone age of medicine. There will be long waiting periods to see the providers and people will loose that window of effective treatment for cancers and diseases that need to be caught early. Since when is it ignorance to voice concern?

    Mary,
One more thought on the healthcare problem, why is this not a state issue? Continue MC and MA as they are set up, but each state have a program like we have in our state. There is an insurance plan everyone can get if they are uninsurable. They have to pay for it, but they get very good coverage. We can't afford the burden of a nationalized program for everyone, it will break us. That is why people are afraid and speaking out, they know it will be a financial burden we will never recover from, and many more jobs will be lost because of it. I will lose mine if my small employer has to offer healthcare. He will have to lay off half his workforce. I would rather keep my job and pay for my healthcare thank you. Our hospital just laid off 60 people due to the economy. How many more will go if they get paid less and less through low reimbursement for procedures. Nurses are getting laid off too. Where is the money going to come from? Who is going to pay for it?

Katy is a liar. She is connected to an organized group and is not a political newcomer. She’s been “meeting up” with conservatives since 2006. she's a leader of the 9/12 group, setting up its networking site on Ning, greeting new members, inviting folks to events at her home and elsewhere – and last night, after her star turn, comparing her cause to that of Martin Luther King Jr. She’s pushing 9-12 tchotchke. She even wrote a book review, under her husband’s name BACK IN 2004, for Sean Hannity’s “Deliver us from evil.” And her major, at Bloomsburg University, was mass communication so she must have learned something about current events. So despite the image that she cultivates, that she is (as described by one of her conservative pals who was at the PA rally) a "stay at home mom," she's not. Katy lies. Hmmm, a past major in communications, attractive TV presence (apart from the waterworks!). She got caught lying just like Joe the Plumber.

I love how the left points at someone who has almost no political standing in the country and people call her a liar; with no facts or evidence but yet they listen to Obama time and time again lie through his teeth and yet the sit idly by and say nothing.
