With loons like Watson, Pelosi and Boxer it is not wander the California is on the brink of collapse. She claims that Cuban healthcare is superior to the USA because she visited some facilities selected by Castro, not the average hospital.

When foreigners visited dictator Joseph Stalin's USSR government officials introduced to them great hospitals, factories, etc.; even GULAGs were introduced as good care prisons. Everybody now(except probably Rep. Watson) knows what was behind the iron curtain: millions of GULAG's prisoners and Soviet regime victims. Anyone who wants to confirm the fact that Cuba's health system does not provide free, universal health care only needs to Google the phrase "medicinas a Cuba" (medicines to Cuba). you will get thousands of hits of companies where Cubans who live abroad can purchase and send medicines to their relatives living in Cuba. If Castro provided free medicine or if it was readily available, how could so many of these businesses be out there?
Is hard to belive that this woman with an education will be so ignorant about Cuba's reality. The cuban people have no health care. If you go to the hospital you have to bring with you pillows, pillow cases, bedding, etc. Giod help you if you need an IV since they do not have neddles, or IV's. I had a family member go to the hopital with a heart attck and all they gave her was an aspiring and the ambulance took her to the bus stop since they did not have enought gas to take her home. She did the next day.

I also live in Watson's district. But there's no way I'd vote for Assembly Speaker Karen Bass. Bass is even further left than Watson! At least Watson will retire after a few more terms. But there's no way I'd want to give Bass the opportunity for a long career in the U.S. House. During the state budget debacle, Bass called for higher taxes and told the L.A. Times that opponents of tax increases were ''terrorists'' and added: ''I don't know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist.''
