Obama Administration cuts 384 Border guards but can loan Soros 2B$ to drill for oil in Brazil

Busy Border Crossing-CNS..com

Border Patrol Director of Media Relations Lloyd Easterling confirmed this week-that Obama is cutting agents to guard the border. His agency is planning to loose at least 384 agents on the U.S.-Mexico border for the next fiscal year that begins on October 1.

Easterling said on Tuesday that in fiscal 2009, 17,399 Border Patrol agents have been deployed on the U.S.-Mexico border. In fiscal year 2010, the Border Patrol plans to decrease that by 384 agents, leaving 17,015 deployed along the Mexican frontier. At the same time, the number of Border Patrol agents deployed on the U.S.-Canada border will be increased by 414, from a fiscal 2009 total of 1,798 agents to a fiscal 2010 total of 2,212. The GAO reported that three persons linked to terrorism and 540 aliens from suspect terrorist link countries were caught by our hard working Border Patrol.

Instead of Border Guards our Government would rather spend taxpayer dollars on:

·

U.S. Export-Import Bank promised Petrobras, Brazil's state-owned oil company, $2 billion in loan guarantees to help finance lucrative drilling off the shores of Rio De Janeiro.  Super corrupt Billionaire George Soros is heavily invested in Petrobras!

·

The National Institutes of Health spent millions of taxpayer dollars on seemingly ridiculous research projects, including: How dragon boating can help cancer survivors;  How canoes can help cultural identity; How snorting cocaine creates anxiety

Insanity everywhere I turn. I expand upon this at papatodd.com. Janet napalatano, alan Bersin (border czar) and the rest are doing nothing to protect our borders.

I second that emotion, more money for the Border Patrol and ICE, less money for whimsical stuff and decidedly throwaway projects. There was an incident recently that caused the border crossing to be closed at San Ysidro, where 3 vanloads, vanloads of people decided to try to ram their way through, and were stopped. But the fact that there's still people smuggling drugs, and stealing from property owners adjacent to the border says that there needs to be more, not less, emphasis on border security with Mexico.

Someday, the people that live IN Mexico are going to have to take an active hand in deciding their own future, and stop just being a satellite of this country. They have smart people that can import and export, they can build ships, they can fabricate hard goods, they've got computers, electricity, phones, the works, so...when will there be a Mexican Border Patrol, for their side of it?
