The President and Mrs. Obama request the pleasure of the company of Mr. _____ at a dinner in honor of His Excellency Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, and Mrs. Gursharan Kaur, to be held at The White House on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at seven o'clock.
Tuesday's state dinner for the prime minister of India and Hollywood elite is the first state dinner hosted by President Obama and First Lady. If your expecting an invitation it should have arrived in the mail a week ago. Some 400 guests are expected for the party, the most elaborate entertaining the First Couple have done to date at the expense of the taxpayer. (This in light of the fire the Potus has drawn for his outrageous extravagazas in the past)
The White House does not have a room to handle a crowd that size, so a colossus (lavish & expensive) tent has been erected on the South Lawn to accommodate the liberal elite that could make the guest list. Would it be took much to ask to keep the guest list to level that could be handled by the existing infrastructure? Obama and Michelle do have a history of living beyond their means so I stand corrected.
What do you think our boys and girls in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan think about out such lavishness that even the Lying liberal media is embarrassed to show you images of the tent.
