Adoption Awareness Month is in full swing, and 42 people who have been touched by adoption are preparing to share their thoughts on the controversial book, The Primal Wound: Understanding the Adoption Child, by Nancy Verrier.
Below is a list, by primary position in the triad, of the participants in Book Tour #1.
Even if you did not sign up for the Tour, you may still be interested in reading what these participants have to say. So if you haven't already subscribed to this Examiner page, make sure to tune in here on December 12, 13 and 14.
On each of these days, about one-third of the participants will answer questions submitted by the tour group on their own blogs or in the Examiner space. Readers -- whether participating in the tour or watching from the sidelines -- will discover this book's affect on adoptees, firstparents, and adoptive parents, on people in closed adoptions and in open adoptions, on people in reunion and in stages of waiting. The tour promises to be thought-provoking and, hopefully, enlightening for people in or considering adoption.
December 15 will bring a real treat. Author Nancy Verrier will answer a few questions, as well. If you have anything in particular you would like to ask her, please submit in a comment below. Not every one will be answered, but all will be considered.
