That's right you read the title correctly - GameCrush is a service starting on March 23, 2010 which will, quite simply, allow male gamers to pay to play with "Flirty" and "Dirty" gamer girls.
GameCrush is doing its best to help ensure that gamer stereotypes stick around as long as possible as basement dwelling misanthropes can shell out a few bucks in order to play games with one of their "PlayDates".
GameCrush allows for guys ("Players") to play their favorite games on Xbox Live or PC with the service's girls ("PlayDates") of their choice for the low low price of approximately 8 dollars for 10-6 minutes of girl time depending on the system/game. (For instance, you get live video chat if you're playing Flash games like Battleship.)
If it feels like you're browsing a pseudo-porn dating site, you're not alone. The profiles browse like something out of AdultFriendFinder. Here's a random profile blurb selected from PlayDate "queenofdebt":

Personally, part of me commends GameCrush for coming up with a brilliant idea that is sure to rake in the dough. Most of me, however, looks at this as sick exploitation of the modern gamer stereotype. I suppose if Larry Lightwell wants to dream about queenofdebt while breathing heavily against his cold basement walls while slurping down cups of ramen, that's his choice.

I think it's a great idea - about time in fact! I am a girl gamer and get treated like crap online. I have signed up and it is all done very well. In fact the site allows me to preview WHO I am playing with before I play him (or I guess it could be a her too?!). Anyway, so what - it's the exact same as someone buying me a drink in a bar and it might actually be fun. It's 2010, social norms are different now. I used to play Second Life and THAT is even more of a joke as it is ALL about getting your thrills in a virtual world of sleaze. At least this site is legit and provides me with a great way to build an online gamer community.

Ha ha ha - this is awesome. Let's face it - gamers aren't all dorks, but a LOT of them are. And have any of you guys played online when a girl's present? What happens on GameCrush CANNOT be any worse than that. If girls are going to get harassed, they might as well get paid for it.

Gary, not sure what you mean by '3 decades of progress'- have you played many multiplayer games lately??? I totally disagree, I think this is a brilliant idea. All the morons who think girls have it easy in xbox land today get a clue. Finally I get to choose who I play with and if they want to chip in to pay the rent because I can make them laugh and have a good time then what's the issue? Sign me up!

I find this to be completely insulting, and I'm also a girl gamer. The ladies who want to do it, obviously it's your choice and if you can get empowerment off of it, then whatever. At least you're owning your sleaze. On gamers as a whole, however, I can't see this as anything but negative, and hope the game sites will ban the service.
I've been playing games since mom taught me how to nuke Mouser in Mario 2. If I'm paying a girl to do ANYTHING, she better be getting me coffee, my entree, wash my car, or sliding down a steel pole. This guy's a moron for assuming all male gamers are alike. "These people are nocturnal, sun-hating soda suckers who worship the visually simulated gratification." Here's what I say: if you're a single male gamer, don't buy into this garbage, because you're fueling his fire to stereotype us. Spend your money on things that give you HONEST entertainment. I mean, nowadays, you don't even have to pay for porn on the internet. Not only does it insult male gamers, but my sympathy is also for the females. Now women have this false image that this tool has convinced male gamers is what we want in a woman. I say we oust this media drug dealer.
For the record: my girlfriend and I have no qualms about exchanging sexual favors in Magic: The Gathering. This guy's an idiot.
