The Wilmington Police Recreation Association will once again be teaming up with the cast of One Tree Hill to help raise money for the Officer Down Memorial Wall Project.
Cast members currently confirmed to attend the fund-raiser are: James Lafferty, Shantel VanSanten,Robert Buckley, Jackson Brundage, Cullen Moss, Vaughan Wilson and Mitch Ryan .
Each actor will be on hand to sign autographs to fans on their item for a $20 donation towards the memorial.
The event will be held on February 20, 2010 from 12-2PM at Wal-Mart, on 5226, Sigmon Road in Wilmington, NC.
The memorial wall is to be built in front of the Wilmington Police Department and is to be a special place for family and friends of the fallen officers to reflect on and honor the brave citizens.
The fund-raiser is being done around the time of the anniversary of the death of Officer Richard Matthews, who lost his life at 26 and with whom had close friendships with the One Tree Hill cast.
“It was very hard”, said Sophia Bush, on the death of Matthews and loss of his daily presence on their set. “...to try to honor him is a big thing”, echoed Lee Norris. Both Bush and Norris were a part of the first 'Celebrity Autograph Fund-raiser' held last fall, which was a success for the memorial.
Now the WPRA hopes to have another successful result from this upcoming fund-raiser.
*Important Notice-James Lafferty & Shantel VanSanten will only be at the fund-raiser for the first hour due to scheduling conflicts. Please arrive early if you would like to meet them.

Rebecca, it's $20 total. You just donate $20, and you get the autographs of each of the cast members attending.
Sammie, At this moment, James and Bethany have not signed up to be there. Only those listed in this article are confirmed. If anything changes, I will add it to this article.

Marian-Yes Rob and Shantel will definitely be attending. Their reps themselves have confirmed this to me.
They weren't on that OTH site I believe because they were last minute additions in comparison with the others. I should probably try to get in touch with that site owner and ask them to add Rob and Shantel.

Chels-glad to hear you and your friend are coming! I'd say be there between 11:15-11:30 to get in line, but don't worry, everyone will get through no matter where you are in line. As for pictures, last time fans got photos by just asking the cast while at the table, so I say just ask, and see how it goes. I think it does also depend on the turn-out, last time wasn't so big,if it's huge this time, they may not want everyone to do that, but it never hurts to just ask. :) And no , James will not be there. If anything changes, I will post it here. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions.

I just read on www.wilmingtonpoliceofficers.org that 4 of the 7 cast members have cancelled their appearance due to scheduling conflicts. Including Rob, Shantel, Antwon and Jana. Have you heard this and do you know what cast members may take their spots?
I am so excited to be able to attend this event... This is such a nice way to make a huge impact of appreciation for those who risk their lives for us on a daily basis. It also shows the kindness and generosity of the cast. OTH is awesome and so are all the participants to this cause!
Margo-James will now be attending the event to replace those who can't. Shantel is also back on, and will be there. Mitch Ryan is also confirmed. Wish that Joy, Sophia, or Austin could be there... is there any possibility that they will be there!?
It's very slim right now on Sophia and Austin because they were a major part of this last fall, I think they're trying to vary it up. If Joy is doing it, her name will be added here in a few hours. :) No confirmation at this moment yet.

Yes, all profits of pictures sold will go towards the memorial. It is a great deal! :) You'll still get photos of those who were originally attending-Jana and Rob.

So do you pay your $20 when you get there? Or do you have to go someplace to purchase like a ticket earlier? Since Wal-Mart probably opens fairly early, do you just go pay somewhere and then stand in line and wait?
Rebecca, You just pay the $20 once you get there and are in line. There will be a table for that and everyone will be directed to it in the order of your place in line.

Connie-Jana, Rob, & Antwon were originally supposed to attend but had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts. James and Mitch generously volunteered to replace them. At this point, Joy will not be there. If by any chance that changes at the last minute, I will add her here asap. check back tomorrow evening just in case. :)
Marian-It's going to be figured out where in Wal-mart it will be, but when you enter at the main entrance in the middle, there will be guidance on where to go for it by that time.

If they want to make it a truly successful event then they will give us long time viewers more than just Nathan Scott and a few side kicks. I wish at least one other top cast member would be there. Quinn and Alex just don't do it for me!
And plus Nathan and Quinn are only gonna be there for the first hour. I feel sorry for those who drive 2 hours or more just to meet Alex and two characters who aren't even big parts of the show (Fergie and Junk)... Hello Lucas wrote them out of his book, that explains how expendable they are.

Marian-yes Rob is back on now,he flew back today from LA to attend it. Every actor listed in this article will 100% be there tomorrow.All 7. I can assure you of this. Sorry about all the cancellations & changes-there will be no more, everyone is just very excited now that those 7 can make it & everything has worked out. No more will be added.
And yes the other one last fall was a great time! I enjoyed it too very much!

I will always have the latest OTH cast news concerning events & everything right here. Don't worry anything like this will always be publicized. But I don't believe there will be any more events this season though, they are scheduled to wrap filming in mid-march. This is a great one to attend so it's good you're coming!
This will be at the automotive section of Wal-mart.
Remember-James will be there from 12-1pm and Shantel from 12:15-1:15pm only. The others will be there the full 2 hours. Line opens at 9am! :)
