The Oklahoma Sooners released their 2010-11 non-conference basketball schedule and OU has some quality competition.
The Sooners basketball team will play in both the Maui Invitational and All-College Classic.
Oklahoma reported last month that they would play Cincinnati in the 75th annual All-College Basketball Classic. The game takes place Dec. 18, 2010 at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City.
The actual Maui Invitational brackets are not finalized but will include Michigan State, Kentucky, Virginia, Connecticut, Washington, Wichita State and host-team Chaminade.
"The Maui Invitational field is as strong as I remember it in quite some time," said Oklahoma head coach Jeff Capel. "The tournament will allow us to see how we stack up against some of the better teams in the country and will give us an opportunity to grow up quickly."
Oklahoma also plays the Arkansas Razorbacks on Dec. 1 and the Arizona Wildcats on Dec. 5 in two tough road contests.
"This would be an ambitious non-conference schedule for us in any year," said Capel. "The fact we have eight new players makes it even more of a challenge. But it's also very exciting. We view it as a great opportunity."
