Marmite jar lid reveals image of Jesus

Jesus sighted on underside of Marmite jar lid

A 36-year-old British mother is preserving the lid of a Marmite jar because it contains the image of Jesus, she says.

Upon opening the jar recently, "Immediately I thought, 'That's Jesus,'" Claire Allen of South Wales told London's Daily Mail.

Marmite is a food spread made from yeast extract. It is comparable to soy sauce.

Her two kids, asked to inspect the jar, agreed Jesus appeared to be peering out at them from the underside of the lid.

This is far from the first sighting of a Jesus image.

His image has been found on toast, in foil, on a cheese sandwich, in the bottom of a fry pan, on a fish finger, on a baby's bottle and on a Polish dumpling, among other items.

Should we report every single cloud that looks like an object to someone's imagination and then is continued by power of suggestion too?

The human brain is wired to recognize the general pattern of a human face. Of the millions of random patterns a toast, wood grain, or Marmite can form, some of them will look like a face. And of those some will look like the Westen depiction of a character from bronze-age mythology. Or Ted Nugent. Clearly, it's a miracle.
