A suburban Chicago home, that had a starring role in the 1986 movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," is up for sale for $2.3 million.
The 5,300-square-foot Highland Park, IL Ben Rose Home was the home of Ferris Bueller's friend character, Cameron Frye, played by actor Alan Ruck.
In the movie, Frye accidentally sends his father's Ferrari flying through one of the house's glass walls and into the woods outside.
Sudler Sotheby's International listing agent Meladee Hughes has the home listed as an "Estate Sale Sold 'As Is' No disclosures!" She says the home feels like a tree house and its steel and glass pavilion, overlooking a ravine, includes a wall dedicated to the movie. The wall includes photographs of Matthew Broderick, who plays Bueller and Ruck.
On 3/4 acre at 370 Beech St., the house, built in 1953, has four bedrooms and bathrooms a 20-by-18 foot master bedroom; 42-by-35 foot family room; 40-by-25 foot living room and a 20-by-16 foot kitchen.
Part of the property is used as a showcase for a collection of European sports and touring cars.
