In more disturbing foreign policy news, Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad compared President Obama to former U.S. President George W. Bush for his “tough” language on recent violence in the rogue nation.

Mr. Obama made a mistake to say those things ... our question is why he fell into this trap and said things that previously (former U.S. President George W.) Bush used to say," a source close to the situation quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

He went on to say that President Obama should apologize for his recent attacks on Iran .

Do you want to speak with this tone? If that is your stance then what is left to talk about ... I hope you avoid interfering in Iran's affairs and express your regret in a way that the Iranian nation is informed of it,” Ahmadinejad continued.

With North Korea threatening to “wipe the United States off the map” and Iran getting more aggressive toward the United States, we are poised to find out the angle of President Obama’s foreign policy.

As violence continues to escalate in Iran the world is paying more attention Ahmadinejad and his country. As reported in The New York Times Ahmadinejad is able to hold onto his reign of power by placing friends and allies in key positions in the Iranian government.

He also has replaced nearly 10,000 government workers with those who support his agenda and will not pose a threat to his regime. Those workers were also responsible for overseeing the hotly contested Presidential election that is the cause of the revolution in Iran .

According Time’s magazine reporter Joe Klein, Iran is able to control its working class by a trickle down method of wealth. The example that is used in the article is Iranian doctors will see their salaries double this year.

That in turn causes complacency among the citizens, which is why he has such a stronghold on the political environment.

President Obama has made statements about the conflict in Iran , stating that he’s “appalled” and “heartbroken” by the images of violence being reported.

Personally, I believe that Ahmadinejad is attempting to position Iran as an aggressor because of the U.S. military being in such a vulnerable position.

He also understands that President Obama has yet to experience a true test on national security and he may want to be the Saddam to President Obama.

While there is still a lot going on the domestic front in the United States , it seems to be foreign policy week for the administration. President Obama and his staff hold daily meetings on the status of Iran and he receives constant updates regarding North Korea .

The President is also trying to focus his attention on healthcare reform and continuing to revamp the American economy.

Don’t look for the Obama administration to loosen it’s talk on Iran or North Korea in the coming days, in fact, I suspect their stance on both nations may get a little stronger.
