Though President Obama was warmly welcomed by most in South Korea Wednesday and Thursday, demonstrators who oppose South Korea's promise to send troops to Afghanistan held signs and shouted slogans. South Korea pulled out of Afghanistan early in the war after the death of two of their military. Now South Korea has agreed to send troops to aid the U.S. in efforts to rebuild the war-torn country.
U.S. military service men and women gave their Commander-in-Chief a warm welcome at Osan Air Base in Songtan, however.
Before President Obama's arrival on November 18th, farmers in South Korea held a rally protesting his upcoming trip because of concerns about trade agreement renegotiations between South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and President Obama.
President Obama's Asian trip concluded in South Korea after visits that included China, Japan, and Singapore.
