At $40, the price is wrong...
The Price is Right 2010 is the newest installment of the Price is Right video game series on the Nintendo Wii. It is currently available in most stores and is on sale for $40. While the game is pretty fun for a while, and very much fun in multiplayer mode, the steep price tag isn’t enough considering what you’re getting to recommend a buy.
The Price is Right 2010 features all of the games from the hit TV game show. It’s all there and with the Wii’s controls, they are simple and fun to play. The controls are so good, I believe it is the best part of the game. The graphics are pretty decent. They look like a cross between a Mii and a real attempt at making a person look real. All of the sets and games look on just like on TV. The sounds are taken straight from the show so it couldn’t be any better.
Here is a video showing a quick play through of the Price is Right 2010:
There are also clips from both Drew Carrey and Bob Barker in the unlockables menu, but they are not in the actual gameplay. At least Bob is in the game somehow. It wouldn’t be the Price is Right without Bob Barker:
While I think The Price is Right 2010 is a pretty good game, it is not a game worth $40. This is no knock on the game itself, as I believe it is a very well made game. However, in terms of bang for your buck, you’re just not getting enough. I liken it very much to The Price is Right on the iPhone. I bought the iPhone version on sale for $1 and it was well worth it. Even though I got sick of it after a while, I’ve got it and when I feel the urge, I can play it. That’s exactly what I recommend with the Wii version. I believe the game is worth $20. If you can find it for that price I strongly recommend you buy it. If you can’t, wait six months until you can find it used.
