Hip-hop fans filled Williamsburg's Brooklyn Bowl to capacity Tuesday night to attend the monthly Talib Kweli and Friends show. For $5 every month, the Brooklyn MC brings together some of the best rappers and musicians to show and prove that no matter what you may hear on the radio, real Hip-hop is still alive and well.
Like the previous month, last night's show was behind schedule, starting two hours after the appointed 9pm showtime, but once Kweli hit the stage, it was on.
This month's guests included three of the groups of Brooklyn's Boot Camp Click. Heltah Skeltah, Smif n Wessun a.k.a. the Coco Brovas and Black Moon took the stage performing their hits from back in the day. Also on stage was Mister Man of short-lived Flatbush group the Bush Babees.
See the slideshow for scenes from the show and check out the Brooklyn Bowl home page for information about next month's edition of Talib Kweli and Friends.
