The Ultimate Fighter reality series on Spike TV helped launch the UFC into many testosterone-rich living rooms, dorm rooms, frat houses, and barrooms. Thus helping the counter-culture grow into the mainstream.

The premise of the show is simple. The best up-and-coming unknown fighters move into a house together, workout together, and fight each other with the winner progressing towards the ultimate quest: a six-figure UFC contract.

The finale will pit heavyweights Roy "Big Country" Nelson against Brendan Shaub to decide the season's winner. There is also a feature bout where former reality-show alum, Matt "The Hammer" Hamill, will face-off against Jon "Bones" Jones. Also, a lightweight bout matches up Frankie Edgar and Matt Veach. But all of these bouts are overshadowed by what will surely be a shootout between YouTube's back-alley brawler, Kimbo Slice and UFC-vet Houston Alexander.

Kimbo struggles to make weight
Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson, who’s weighed in as low 234.5 pounds before, is contracted to fight at a required 215-pound catchweight for his bout this Saturday at “The Ultimate Fighter” Finale in Las Vegas. And, Slice doesn't like it but has assured the media that his weight is on track.

Slice admits to being moody, anxious and "not good." The 35-year-old Slice, who said he didn’t bring a dietician into his eight-week training camp at American Top Team, hopes his uncomfortability will provide positive results come Saturday.

Fans will be excited to see if the former streetfighting sensation has improved his game since his appearance on the Spike reality TV series taped last summer.

Slice states that his style hasn't changed much although he has added a little bit of a ground game. He prefers to stand and knock out his opponent or be knocked out. On Saturday, I'm sure that fans will see one or the other.
