Growing up in New York, Hamze was exposed to peer pressure of all sorts and forms, and managed to maintain the upper hand, rather than give in to peer demands. Hamze has been writing since the age of 8, when his first poem was posted on the bulletin boards in his elementary school's hallways. Since then, he has won various awards for his creative writing, including Author of the Year at his university. Through the years Hamze has managed to push away peer pressure and provide motivational techniques to teenagers and children dealing with the pressures of society, drugs, and alcohol.
