On Thursday, July 29th, NYC’s Highline Ballroom will host the up-and-coming band known as SWEET FIX. Their music is best described as “Van Halen meets Lady Gaga”, a melodic mix of muscular rock swagger and disco romance. According to SWEET FIX, “We are old-fashioned in the sense that we write sweaty, in-your-face rock and roll songs, but we are modern in the sense that we fill them with tasty pop hooks.” SWEET FIX’s name is just that, because “once you've had a little piece (of candy), you want a lot more!”
SWEET FIX History:
Two guys from Brown University (Ivan Anderson and Marco Santini) met and formed the framework for the foursome. After 13 months of testing potential band members, Ivan’s childhood friend and former bandmate, Will Sapanaro made it a trio. Last to join the band was charismatic lead singer Tommy Walker (not to be confused with The Who’s Tommy Walker) who replied to their Craig’s list ad!
Relatively new to the music scene, SWEET FIX has made their presence known – especially when it comes to the dramatic openings of their shows - get to their performances early so you can secure a prime viewing position.
Their next EP, SPARKS IN THE DARK, is being released on July 29th at the Highline Ballroom!
