Readers of this space may recall that I've written about several KinkyJews events such as their annual seder. KinkyJews defines its mission to bring together like-minded men and women who define both kink and Judaism as central components of their identity. Its goal is to help ensure Jewish continuity and sexual freedom by providing a safe community for Jews who practice or support alternative forms of sexual self-expression. They seek to foster consciousness raising and understanding among Jews of all sexual orientations and the public at large in order to build a more vibrant, diverse, and inclusive Jewish community. In April I wrote "if more couples met through groups like Kinky Jews far fewer marriages would have to deal with issues of sexual incompatibility."
Kinky Jews will celebrate the Jewish New year this weekend with a Rosh Hashanah "munch". A "munch", in the fetish lexicon, is a low-pressure social gathering for people involved in or interested in alternative forms of sexual self expression.
