Earth Scientists in US and Europe agree that global warming is caused by CO2 and  human activities

The causes of 20th-century warming are in sharp dispute among scientists, as is the amount of warming expected in the future.

Science is rarely final, and it always has its skeptics. Hypotheses are tested and retested as more data are collected and examined, and disagreements among researchers play a vital role in moving scientific understanding forward.

But the vast majority of scientists in US and Europe who study the climate agree on the essential points: that the Earth is getting warmer and that most of the warming in recent decades has been caused by carbon-dioxide emissions from human activities. As CO2 concentrations increase, the rate of warming will accelerate.

This view, summarized by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, is endorsed by the world's leading scientific organizations, including the national academies of science in a score of countries and, in the U.S., the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Geophysical Union and the American Meteorological Society.

In a recent survey of more than 3,000 Earth scientists, 82% agreed that human activity is a "significant contributing factor" in changing global temperatures. Specialists were in greater agreement: 75 of the 77 climate scientists who actively publish in the field about 97% agreed with the statement.

lets see first it was 2500 scientists, that was found to be only 52 at the IPCC, then a AGW alarmist in a debate comes up with the number 5000 but earlier in the week he said it was 4000 and now we get 3000. I wish you guys could just get together and settle on one made up number. But I will see your 3000 and raise you with 31,000 against since you want to play poll games. Google NIPCC

“No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right, a single experiment can prove me wrong.” Albert Einstein »

So they took a poll at Copenhagen?

And Before Galileo, it was thought that celestial bodies revolved around the Earth.

If you are playing a numbers game.. Can I play?

31,486 scientists, over 9,000 with PhDs, from many fields who have signed a petition saying that they don’t believe AGW to be true.

75% of Meteorologists disagree with Global Warming.

Fitting to find tripe like this in the business category. The real story is how many scientists are afraid of joining the ranks of the unemployed.

I am sorry, but global warming has more to do with politics and redistribution of wealth than hard demonstrable science.

How much Global Warming was caused by man or Co2, during the 3 previous "Ice Ages" and Thaws?

I have a survey of 123,257.8234 scientists and 93.87654832211323% of them say that man has a negligible effect on earths global temperatures. I am not willing to tell you where this survey is, nor will I tell you what the actual questions were. I also will not tell you how I picked these scientists to ask the question(s) to. I will not tell you about any lead in questions or any other information that would allow you to determine if there is any validity what-so-ever in this survey.

"Science is rarely final, and it always has its skeptics. Hypotheses are tested and retested as more data are collected and examined, and disagreements among researchers play a vital role in moving scientific understanding forward."

Oh if only it were true. Just ask Dr. Briffa about this.

I feel sorry for warmers. They don't understand that the errors in the tree ring method of deriving temps mean that today's warming is not unusual... Especially since the tree ring data, as of late, does not conform to the assumptions and real temps had to be used to ditched for real observations.

If we compare apples to apples,(tree ring derived temps now and past) it's clear it's a natural range of temps we'rte in and the rate of change is not alarming.

If irony were a blizzard mocking the global warming conference in Copenhagen, this one would be a winner. Cars are trapped with people inside as up to two feet of snow hurdle down across the East Coast. Trains are stopped with passengers trapped inside across Europe. Washington D.C. is parallized with traffic at a halt. Nancy Pelosi can't fly to Copenhagen. Senators are having problems reaching their healthcare debates, and all because of ice and snow. All this as these scientist, doctors, and politicians try to find a cure for "Global Warming" during one of the worst Decembers on record. Now is this not God's way of saying, "Knock it off folks."!

How many of these global warming alarmists are freezing their backsides off in this monster stormstorm? If that's not irony, I don't know what is.
