2009 NYRR Run for Central Park 4 Mile Race

Saturday morning was warm and muggy in Central Park. That didn't stop Nearly 5000 Runners from getting together to support the Central Park Conservancy and have a great time. This race was also significant because it was scheduled to celebrate the Park's 156th birthday, which is July 21st, 2009.

The four mile race was held in 70 degree weather with 94% Humidity. The male winner was Bado Worku Merdessa, of from New York City, finishing with a time of 18:51. The Female winner was Abbi Antablin, of New York, finishing with a time of 21:59. View all results here.

Thanks to NYRR, the Central Park Conservancy, and all of the volunteers, for making it such a great race. Congratulations to all of the finishers.
