Ves was born in rural Alabama. He has lived in New York for the last 15 years. Since moving to New York he has been documenting queer nightlife culture, art, and burlesque performers. He has also photographed through out the South and places like London, Cairo, and Los Angeles. The Christopher Henry Gallery in New York represents him. In 2008 he exhibited "Cake Bomb" at the gallery and at London's Act Art 6 show. He has just published his second photography book called "Tripping the Light Fantastic," a book of New York nightlife and performers. His first book was called "Two Cigarette and a Wig." His photography regularly appears on the website My Comrade.com and East Village Boys.com. Currently, he is producing a film by the director Maria Beatty of Paris to be released in 2010 and presenting deluxe slide shows.
