When you have an award-winning Web site, a link is your best friend.
Matt Puchalski, owner of Bloomingdale’s Masterpiece Framing Store, 156 E. Lake Street, has both a link and a blue ribbon.
“I’m super excited about the award,” said Puchalski. “It was a nationwide contest sponsored by DÉCOR, (The Art and Framing Business Resource) magazine and (frame manufacturer) Larson-Juhl. The competition was open to frame shops and art galleries. My shop will be featured in an upcoming issue of the magazine.”
Like Puchalski’s shop, his Web site is both effective and attractive. It showcases the variety of services he provides from:
- framing a college diploma
- to restoring beloved yet yellowed-with-age family photographs
- transforming a child’s refrigerator art into a custom framed work of art.
Best of all, Masterpiece Framing – both onsite and online – features Puchalski’s gallery of original art. His talent – fine tuned at Chicago’s American Academy of Art – includes vibrant giclee drawings that highlight Chicago landmarks including:
- Snowy 21st century Christmas shoppers trekking past the 1869-built Water Tower;
- The lions majestically guarding the Art Institute;
- The Willis Tower watching over the city;
- The razzle dazzle of the 1920s that glistens from the six-stories-high Chicago Theater marquee.
The onsite gallery of artwork is open for viewing from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. weekdays; 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The award-winning onsite gallery is open 24/7 - thanks to that link.
