Videos filmed outside the State House, following the Revenue Committee hearing.
With only one speaking against HB 2929, a bill that would tax, regulate commercial use of marijuana and allow tax free cultivation for personal use in Massachusetts, the bill's author Richard M. Evans and National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws founder Keith Stroup rallied supporters on the steps of the Massachusetts State House. In attendance were Dr. Lester Grinspoon from Harvard University, Steven Epstein with MassCann/NORML, local members of students drug policy organizations and other supporters.
The second video features Jack Cole, a 26 year New Jersey State Police veteran, who worked the beat of undercover narcotics. Cole is a Director with the organization, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP). If you support his work, you might consider joining LEAP, it's a free membership, open to all with 15,000+ members.
The Massachusetts Joint Revenue Committee has not at this time voted on the bill.
Marijuana reform advocates have requested supporters call state house officials.
