GOP Establishment threatened by Ron & Rand Paul

Congressman Ron Paul has become the unofficial spokesman of a growing liberty movement. However many in the GOP establishment view the movement as a threat to their power. Ron Paul was reelected last election by an overwhelming margin but the establishment Republicans are looking to up seat him in the next election. Ron Paul says he has "drawn 317 cosponsors and passed through the House Financial Services Committee a bill to audit the Federal Reserve., and has "led the fight against bailouts, Obamacare and Cap and Trade". He says "the national attention our efforts have generated, we have broadened the debate on foreign policy and are challenging the status quo idea that America must be the World’s policeman."

Seven candidates have filed to run against him  for congress, including three Republicans who he will face in the primary on March 2. He says "they will stop at nothing to tear down and destroy all we have worked for." They have resorted to making nasty personal attacks. Paul says "these quotes come directly from his opponents’ campaign literature and websites:

Ron Paul wants to cut spending on our military industrial complex because he believes in a weaker foreign policy.”

“Ron Paul has become a complete nutcase conspiratorialist quasi-Anti-Semitic leftwing American-hating nutball.”

“Ron Paul is out of touch with this district and it is time for him to move on…Dr. No Must Go!”

Of Course these are all lies. Ron Paul believes in a strong military but opposed nation building and taking the founders advice of avoiding entangling alliances. He is very popular in his district and his last reelection proves that. However the GOP establishment will stop at nothing to discredit him because his movement threatens their power. Paul says "they will instead vote for big spending, eroding our Liberties and policing the world, while ignoring our crooked monetary system."

Ron Paul's son is running for US Senate in Kentucky, and is now the front runner against Trey Grayson who has the backing the GOP establishment and Wall Street. 23 Republican Senators held a $500 per plate fundraiser for Trey Grayson in Washington DC. Rand Paul declined to guarantee his vote for Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell as Republican leader who has campaigned for Grayson, who was a major supporter of the Wall Street bailouts and has a poor record on Constitutional liberties and illegal immigration. Trey Grayson is also the favorite of the powerful pro-Israel Lobby and in 2008 took an AIPAC sponsored trip to Israel. Despite the face that Rand and Ron Paul's opponents have the party establishment's support they are leading by grass roots support.

Ron Paul has discreditted himself by saying that there is no evidence against 9/11.
Many people think that he is just a distraction to give people hope of change but nothing else.

    Mark,
You might want to shed a little light on what you mean by, "saying there is no evidence against 9/11." What exactly are you babbling about? He is the ONE of the only politicians that does not speak purely in rhetoric and everything he says has a concrete basis in the common American English language and is also understandable cause and effect solutions. You listen to all these other politicians and they never actually commit to anything in a concrete manner, everything they say allows them to retract the statement down the road.

Ron Paul is a true libertarian and the only true conservative we have in the house. the only reason he doesn't say anything about 911 is because it is political suicide because more than the majority of americans don't know anything about simple physics of gravitational free fall speed and building 7. The one thing though that does make me question Paul is his stance on the gold standard because the gold is held in the hands of the powerful bankers such as the rothchild family and the rest of the international bankers/illuminati dynasties. The golden rule of he who has the gold makes the rules.

Ron Paul is right about auditing the fed. It has never been done. Now is the time for accountability. His views on 9/11 is of no consequence. He has another focus for us to consider that is more important, because we are being swindled into believing a lie of grand proportions. He wants to expose the shadow elite that run the fed. He wants to expose the shadow elite for robbing us blind with their predatory practices and ideologies of capitalism, communism, socialism and democracy. These "isms" are designed to create divisions and fodder of the human race. Religions are one of their biggest lies and tools to divide and conquer the planet. The U.S. A is a constitutional republic! Our freedoms are being robbed from us for the sake of fascism. Think of the Supreme Court, who is their master? The corporations!

I think Dr.Paul is the most amazing and influential political figure of the 21st century. He has galvanized a liberty and truth movement from the young.. to the old, across this great and blessed nation. Let us all return to our roots, the Constitution.. Liberty... lets kick out the robbers, looters, and thieves that inhabit the Congress and Senate! Dr. Paul is an American Hero!

America is already dead. There will no reviving the corpse. The Zionists have murdered Uncle Sam. America no longer exists and is in permanent decline. This country will soon start breaking up, as the Zionists planned, into smaller, more manageable plantations. How do you keep a slave happy? Most importantly you don't let the slave know he/she is a slave. You give the slaves "votes" in a farce called an election where they choose between an ensemble of puppets hand picked by the Zionist masters. You keep the slaves so busy keeping their noses above water that they are too busy working to pay attention to what goes on in Washington, DC.

The GOP is threatened by Ron Paul & others (Sarah Palin). They have brought on this position by ignoring the people's wishes & spending & getting America into foreign wars with lies (Iraq).

I would vote for a Republican over a Democrat right now but, given a choice, I would vote for anyone over a Republican & Democratic candidate. The people are sick of old parties & 'career' politicians

I've been watching Ron Paul for 7 years and reading his writings at lewrockwell website. He has not changed his story on one thing he stands for. He is the real deal. My only comment is this: WE MUST STOP ELECTING INCUMBENTS NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE. They should get one 5 year term and out. It is time to push national term limits on all elected offices. While I do not believe Paul is corrupt, I think he is an exception to the basic rule that power currupts.

Supposed to have happened during clinton's watch. There's just no end to the looting. Thank you for this article, Robert. An audit of the Fed, if it's honest and not a sham, would break-open the cartel of banksters that create money out of thin-air to buy all they wish, including our fascist political system. We live in interesting times; we can begin living our inalienable rights and focus technology for the benefits of all of us if we can end our history of vicious antagonism, like our Fed and wars for empire.

Neither Rand nor Ron are racist, but embrace all American who want Freedom & Liberty... including yourself. If you're saving a place in hell for them, you'll be sitting there all alone. Both of them live to Christian values, believe in a strong defense but against aggresive war and believe in protecting the unborn. Where do you stand?

Wake up America! Our Constitution is severely flawed and illusional. Congress is the problem. Allow me to explain. When the Founders created our govt. they said that we citizens (We The People) are the Sovereigns (kings and Queens so to speak) and the people we elect to represent us in this congress are our public servants. QUESTION: If a "servant" has the power to make laws that the Sovereign must obey WHO IS THE REAL SOVEREIGN AND WHO IS THE REAL SERVANT??? Answer: It is NOT We The People!!!

Our present system of govt. is nothing more then an ILLUSION of freedom.
The solution: Abolish congress and our present legal system of lawyers and replace congress with one short sentence - "DO NO MAN OR WOMAN HARM IN THEIR PERSON OR PROPERTY." Replace the present legal system with Common Law where a jury of 12 citizens picked from the street shall hear and determine all issues criminal and civil. This is REAL FREEDOM! Anything else is just an illusion of freedom. YOU be the judge.

Do people saying 'vote him out because he is an incumbent regardless of his being the ONLY one listening to the people' understand what they are saying?

Ron Paul brought the first bill for term limits in modern memory and has supported term limits consistently since then. He left his seat voluntarily in the '80s and tried for Senate as a self imposed term limit, but it didn't start a wave of similar action. To this day he is in favor of term limits -- which apply to everyone. He will vote for that. You know he will, because he always has.

If you vote him out, you send the WRONG signal.

And in regards to antisemitism. Adopting the Jewish religion does not make you Jewish. Most of the citizens of Israel are not Jewish ancestrally. No ties to the original Israelite, but a band of usurpers emigrated from Khazaria who adopted Judaism in the 14th century.

Dr. Paul has become the pinnacle of what a politician should be. He is setting the standard that all decent men and women, regardless of their political choice should strive for. I don't know much about Rand, but if he's like Paul, he's got my vote, and I wish Ron would have had 100 kids.

I think Ron Paul and Judge Napolitano would make a great team on a 3rd Party movement for President/Vice-President. Both are ardent supporters of the Constitution. The Brown win in Massachusetts is pivotal, but not in the way most people think. The independents in the nation are turning things around..not the Republicans. The Republicans will turn on you if you let it be know you are a strict-constructionist (i.e. libertarian).
