In a recent New York Times op-ed, “Present at the Trade Wars,” former CEO of Chase Manhattan Bank and prominent advocate for globalism David Rockefeller criticizes President Obama's imposition of a steep tariff on auto tires made in China, which may spark a trade war. He puts the blame on unions, environmentalists, and cable television pundits.
While America is not in the position to start trade wars, due to our massive debt to China, what really bothers Rockefeller is economic nationalism since he is a committed globalist. Rockefeller not only opposes Obama's new tariff's but goes on to say that "President Obama should also urge Congress to pass free-trade agreements with Panama, South Korea and Colombia that would truly open those markets to our products. He should also ask Congress to renew “fast track” authority for Ron Kirk, the United States trade representative. This would signal our strong commitment to fair and equitable international trade, as well as our willingness to act quickly on future agreements."
Rockefeller, who is the founder of the Trilateral Commission, a secretive internationalist think tank, wrote in his memoir, "For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure -- one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."
In a speech at the 1991 Bilderberg Convention, Rockefeller stated "we are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the lights of publicity during those years. But the world is now more sophisticated and prepared towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty on an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
He even praised Chinese Communist dictator Mao Zedong, who slaughtered millions of people saying, "one is impressed immediately by the sense of national harmony.... Whatever the price of the Chinese Revolution it has obviously succeeded... in fostering high morale and community purpose. General social and economic progress is no less impressive....The enormous social advances of China have benefited greatly form the singleness of ideology and purpose.... The social experiment in China under Chairman Mao's leadership is one of the most important and successful in history."
Rockefeller and his ilk claim to be defenders of capitalism but what they really are is oligarchist who believe that we are better off being rules by elite bankers who have no regard for nation states and individual liberty. Obama has proven he is another tool of Wall Street and may only be supporting tariffs as an act or to pander to union support. Globalization is all about plundering the wealth of American workers and consumers as well as the exploitation of third world resources and labor to benefit the ultra wealthy.

Well said, Robert. Obama hasn't stepped too far out of line, however, and this might all be theatre for us. The war is progressing, the flu vaccines are prepared with whatever the elite want to inject us, no change with fascist policies, the banksters are covered. I don't see Obama as any threat to the elite's plan to manage outside of the public's best interests.

A few years ago we purchased a brand new vehicle. About 11,000 miles later, we had to purchase 4 brand new tires because the "steel belts" in all four tires dangerously broke. Incidentally, the dealer refused to replace them because so many tires were defective from the manufacturer. He gave us a pamphlet on how to contact the manufacturer for compensation--which we NEVER GOT!) These tires were manufactured in China--so much for enforcement of quality control rules and regulations. I'm certain that problem would never have arisen if the tires were manufactured in the United States as they used to be. The US should now place tarriffs on all imported products anyway, because partner countries participating in these so-called "free-trade agreements" do not abide by the same rules & regulations imposed upon American manufacturers, although according to the agreements, they should. So long as there is no enforcement of the R&R's, tariffs should be imposed to protect American businesses.

Rockefeller is again restating the fairy tale about the Smoot-Hawley Tariff, and all the alleged harm it did during the Great Depression. But it did no harm whatsoever. It didn't cause, nor even worsen the Depression. Govt. statistics bear this out. But these benefits only accrue to the free traitors who manage un-American multinational corporations--by stealing the wages of American workers and replacing them with cheaper foreign workers--while continuing to sell goods to the same American workers they deliberately impoverished. Globalization is the best method ever invented to upwardly redistribute wealth--away from American workers and into the pockets of their free traitorous ex-employers.

The article is great. Unfortunately your economics are wrong. As bad as One World Government is: it is not bad because of free trade. Free trade, lifting tariffs and doing what Rockafeller suggested, is really what will help give Americans their jobs in the long run - and make their jobs easier. However, free trade is often manipulated and turned into monopoly. In other words, they start signing FTAs and you can only join the trade agreements if you give into the one world government plans and other political agendas which come included. Then in the end, whether this is what Rockafeller planned or not, free trade is no longer free trade. However, if one thinks free trade is wrong and damaging - then you are a successfully brainwashed one world government project and still have no clue about life. Read Henry Hazlit (Hazzlit) 's book on Economics in One Lesson. He's not the only one, but the best. It's 100% proven and continues to be proven every day. Free trade = Savior.
