You were created before the foundation of the world.
Did you know that you were chosen for greatness? Did you know that you were created and called to a special assignment for His purposes. The Bible teaches that every man and woman of every nationality and race is “fearfully and wonderfully made” by God, and that includes you!
Psalm 113:13-14
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.”
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
At the end of the sixth day of the creation account in Genesis chapter one, God clearly declares His regard toward His creation:
- “And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good...”
You are included in that statement. At the moment of your creation God decreed that you were very good! Today is the day to break through religious paradigm and embrace the goodness of God, and His goodness endowed within yourself. God has great plans for you personally (Romans 8:28-31).
In the beginning...
In the beginning, before the world was created, the Word of God existed. The Greek term for “word” is “logos.” The Apostle John's opening statement in His Gospel clearly reveals that Jesus is the Logos (Word) of God.
John 1:1-2
- “In the beginning was the Word (Logos), and the Word (Logos) was with God, and the Word (Logos) was God.”
- “The same was in the beginning with God.”
Logos and rhema
The Strong's concordance defines the Greek word “Logos” as:
- “something said (including thought)” - #G3056
The Apostle John is explaining that Jesus is the summation of all that the Father said. The Bible also proclaims that mankind existed in Christ before the foundation of the world, and that we all are special and gifted with incredible blessings in Christ Jesus. That means that you are a uniquely wondrous creation of God!
Ephesians 1:3-4
- “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”
- “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love”
Every member of the human race, male and female, is a rhema word of God (John 1:14). Each human that ever lived existed as a word within the summation of the Father's Word which is Jesus. When God spoke in Psalm 2:7 declaring that Jesus was His begotten Son, He simultaneously spoke to all of humanity that existed in Jesus. He declared that we each are His child.
The Wikipedia definition for rhema is:
When God spoke in Psalm 11:4 and declared that the Logos/Jesus was a priest after the order of Melchizedek, He was also speaking to each member of humanity and declaring that He has a special assignment for every person.

God has a destiny for you
God has a uniquely special and wonderful plan for every life. Believe that God desires good for your life. The Father desires to bring heaven to earth (Matthew 6:9-13), and release His goodness through the human race.
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Philippians 1:6
- “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
“I am a word out of the mouth of God, sent to this planet on assignment. I am a word out of God's mouth and was that before He gave me life. That is a powerful thought,” says Kelly Varner, author of “Chosen For Greatness.”
You are a word of God
According to Varner, there is a similarity between the rhema word of God and human language. He explains that there are eight parts to our language:
- Nouns
- Pronouns
- Verbs
- Adjectives
- Adverbs
- Prepositions
- Conjunctions
- Interjections
Each part of our language has it's own purpose and is necessary. Just as each part of speech is vital to the fullness of expression in language, every human being is a rhema word necessary to fully express the plan of God for humanity. There is no one else who can fulfill the assignment God has given to you.
“I am a word, an utterance, a saying. I am a rhema word out of the mouth of God, and was that before I was born,” says Varner.
God's word will not return to Him empty
Isaiah 55:11
- “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 46:10
- “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”
Loving the word of God
God has declared the greatest commandment is love. Processing the revelation about mankind being a rhema word is life changing as we apply it to our daily lives in obedience to God's commandments.
Mark 12:28-31
- "One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the debate. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
- "Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord."
- "And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’"
- "The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
We must handle the word of God with care, understanding that every human soul is precious, special and is a unique word of God chosen for greatness in His plan.

If he had meant for us to be ants or cogs in a wheel, that is what we would have been. That we are so much more than that is truly remarkable... and I wonder how many of us come anywhere near living up to that potential?
His Word will not return void. Amen.
I can't help but think of Jeremiah 29:11 also as I read this.
Praying for His greatness will be manifested in my life.
