AZ-U-R Church is one of the many venues that God is raising up to reclaim arts and entertainment for His Kingdom. During the summer of 2007 they started hosting Open Mic Night once a week which was eagerly embraced by the community.
“So many musicians came to play that we realized there was a need for a venue for Christian musicians to perform in the Kansas City Metro,” says Chane Hutton, Pastor AZ-U-R Church.
The leadership team of AZ-U-R Church decided to fill this need by transforming a portion of their facility into a Christian nightclub, Club D-MASK-US. The name is an acronym for the conversion experience the Apostle Paul had on the road to Damascus when the Lord appeared to him there. Hutton explains that the club is a safe place for people to take off their mask and embrace their true self by being touched with the Light of Christ through music ministry.

Touching lives
As an outreach of AZ-U-R Church the club opened with a huge turnout, and has not slowed down. In only two years Club D-Mask-US has entertained thousands of different people from across the Kansas City Metro. The facility includes a game room and a cafe.
“Club D-MASK-Us is a great safe place for the Christian to hang and have a good time enjoying different genres of music. My family has enjoyed the game rooms, cafe, and the great Christian music Club D offers. Chane Hutton, the pastor of the Club, has done a wonderful job booking great bands and bringing the community together,” says Connie Whitlock, President of Operations for King Cat Christian Music.
AZ-U-R Church also sponsors it's own band in addition to it's outreach ministry through Club D-MASK-US. The AZ-U-R band won the 2008 and 2009 King Cat Christian Awards for, Christian Classic Rock Band of the Year. T-shirts 4 God is another outreached offered by AZ-U-R Church through Club D-MASK-US. Michael Anderson manages the non-profit ministry which offers a variety of t-shirts with inspirational messages.

Because it is a Christain nightclub there is also a significant level of outreach that happens when non-believers come to check out what is going on," says Pastor Hutton.

The cover charge is $3.50 per person or 2 for $6.00, children under 12 are free with one paid adult. Club D-MASK-US is open most Friday nights from 7-10 pm. Click here to see the event calendar.

This IS a GREAT place for families also! When Iv visited there its been delightful to watch the kids up front dancing to the music! AZ-U-R is a Top Rate Band!
