Lizzie West and Baba Buffalo host "This Abundant Life" every Sunday night at 7pm.
It is a hard time for everyone right now during the recession -- people are losing their jobs, families are losing their houses, and many are turning to the small things in life for happiness. It is a good thing that people are cooking more and staying at home with their loved ones instead of going out to spend money that they cannot afford to lose. This time is teaching us that even though times may seem bleak, there are always things to be happy for.
One thing that makes me happy is tuning into "This Abundant Life" every Sunday at 7 pm. This is a live video webcast hosted by Lizzie West, Baba Buffalo, and the Dharma Dog from their home in the countryside of Connecticut. The first show was on February 22, 2009, and featured singing by the fireside, discussions about current events, and videos that bring awareness to various causes. "We felt it was important to create an interactive and versatile show that inspired us all to transform for the better with these changing times–a show that would cherish the three As that we believe in so heartily... arts, agriculture and activism," said Lizzie.
Lizzie West is a singer, songwriter, author, and teacher who has had an album released on Warner Brothers Records, as well as other albums on different labels. The song "Chariots Rise" was featured in the movie "Secretary," and other songs have been featured in various television shows. Currently, she is writing, singing, and loving life with her husband, Baba Buffalo. He is a talented pianist, performer, artist, and director, and together they make beautiful music. (Their newest album, "Chariots Rise," is for sale here on iTunes.)
Lizzie and Baba can't wait for you to tune in! They said, " 'This Abundant Life' is free. You don't have to go anywhere to see it. Just log on to our website, tune in, and get ready to do your weekly "bun*dance", hear original music that makes the flowers grow from your brains, sing or play along at home, catch up with friends in real time, watch videos that make us laugh, cry and nod our heads in amazement, and get your weekly tip on the Art of Creating Reality from Lizzie. Then, send us song requests, videos you want us to play, petitions you want us to highlight, or people you want us to interview! 'This Abundant Life' viewers also get a special weekly letter from us that includes exclusive free downloads. We see this show growing to feature live and virtual guests too, so grow with us and give us your most inspiring recommendations of people you want us to interview."
Tune in tonight at 7pm to check it out for yourself. This show is a ray of sunshine and can help light your way when you are in darkness.
