
Tens of thousands of people gathered in Rockefeller Center Wednesday night for the annual holiday tree lighting.

The huge holiday tree in Rockefeller Center will be lit tonight in a televised ceremony. Viewers across the country can watch the ceremony on NBC (check your local listings). This year, Jane Krakowski from 30 Rock will host and Zachary Levi from Chuck will co-host. Celebrity guests will include Michael Buble, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Barry Manilow, The Roots, Shakira, and The Radio City Rockettes.
The ceremony will begin at 7pm, with the live telecast on NBC starting at 8pm. The tree will be lit at exactly 8:55pm EST. Those who want to brave the holiday crowds can come down to Rockefeller Center and claim their place near the tree. If you're coming via subway, here are the routes that will get you there:
+ B,D,F,V to Rockefeller Center/47-50th Street station
+ N,R,W to 49th Street and Seventh Avenue
+ E to Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street
The weather forecast says it should be around 40 degrees, so dress accordingly. Also, remember to bring your camera, as the tree will look spectacular dressed in thousands of sparkling lights. Have fun!
