Nick Warren in the mix at Cielo Friday night
Dance music enthusiasts across the world who have followed the club scene for a while will be more than familiar with an exceptionally skilled and well respected International DJ and producer by the name of Nick Warren. With a long-spanned career taking his talent across the globe and a bread crumb trail that most accustomed travelers would surely envy, this experienced artist never fails to impress. Originally from Bristol, England, where he began his successful career, Warren brought his collection of big room anthems to the ever popular late night hot spot Cielo last Friday night and predictably delivered a superb set.
Warren, who recently finished his forth studio album We Love Machine with Jody Wisternoff under the guise of Way Out West, has entertained crowds the world over and deserves his reputation as one of the top DJ’s in the circuit. As ever, he seamlessly switched though records and impressed everyone in the packed venue with his carefully crafted mixing, dropping a selection of progressive house tracks that filled the club with a frenzied energy few DJ’s are capable of achieving. Partygoers living in the New York City area are fortunate enough to have huge names regularly appearing on their doorstep, but this headliner rarely comes into town. On this occasion Warren certainly did not disappoint those that came to appreciate his creativity behind the decks. Made Event, who brought you the equally impressive and successful Electric Zoo Festival last summer, promoted this party, and Warren delivered a thumping set that was appreciated by all who braved the freezing temperatures in the lines outside the club.
Made Event are responsible for the arrival of Ferry Corsten, the charismatic Dutch DJ on February the 12th at the Nokia theatre and will be bringing you Eric Prydz and Sebastian Leger at the same venue in Times Square on the 20th of March. Those who can’t make these events or some of the parties being thrown in Miami during the Winter Music Conference this year should stay tuned for the line-up at Electric Zoo. No doubt there will be a host of talented artists throwing down some superb electronic music on the September Labor day weekend at New York City’s most successful electronic music festival.
