Sometimes it’s not about hanging out where everybody knows your name…. It’s about Free Beer!! That’s right folks. Free Beer! And what better way to bring in large crowds of people from all walks of life than Free Beer. By now you must be wondering, where is this free beer of which Nitephoenix speaks? Why, it is at Free Beer Sunday at Bar Knoxville (1820 Cumberland Ave.) of course.

So how does this beer system work?  Well, for starters there is no cover charge. That’s right, you read correctly. No cover charge. Once inside simply walk right up to the bar and ask for a beer. No strings attached.

What is there to do besides stand around looking at each other drink? Well, there is a popular game called beer pong you can play. Basically you set up 3 rows of plastic cups in triangular formation at both ends of the table and fill them about half way with beer. There is a team of two at both ends. The goal is for each team to throw a ping pong ball into their opponents cups. Those cups must then be drunk by the defense team. Whichever team’s cups are drunk first loses and they must also drink the remaining cups of the winning team. Sound like a game you want to lose. Either way it sums up to yet more free beer. They have good old fashion pool as well. Be sure to checkout a full photo album of this great event.

There is also dancing for those still standing. With such a diverse crowd, the music ranges from Hip-Hop, Industrial, Classic Rock, Rap, to Heavy Metal… you name it. Something for everyone. And should get the beer munchies there is 25 cent wings at your disposal.

So how could you possibly go wrong here? No out of pocket expense, yet you feel like you just attended a hundred dollar spending spree party. So come check it out. It is recommended you bring a designated driver to this event though.
