Joo-youn Lee and Mary Valverde exhibit. In Joo-youn Lee’s view of the human condition, overcoming the essential alienation of the individual remains the immense challenge with despair always a risk and love always a hope. Her Paperman exhibit achieves this. Valverde’s work is informed by memory, ritual and culture. Recently, she’s been working in large-scale site specific installations, investigating numeric and geometric patterns in daily life.
