Former PC Basketball Coach Rick Pitino testifies
Former Providence College Basketball Coach Rick Pitino testifies for a second day in the extortion case against Karen Sypher.
Sypher reportedly claims Pitino raped her and demanded she have an abortion. Pitino tells a very different version of their 2003 Louisville encounter, reportedly saying Sypher seduced him then tried to extort money after they had sex.
WAVE-TV reports, “During Wednesday's testimony, Pitino told Assistant U.S. District John Kuhn that he met Sypher for the first time on July 31, 2003, at Porcini Italian Restaurant on Frankfort Avenue. He admitted having sex with her, and said emphatically that he did not rape her, saying he found the question "insulting." WAVE TV further reports, Thursday Sypher's attorney, James Earhart, questioned why Pitino never denied raping Sypher during a conversation they had that was secretly taped.
WHAS-TV reports today Karen Sypher addressed reporters, “I feel fabulous…I can’t wait for my turn. WHAS also reports at the time Karen Sypher was married to Tim Sypher who allegedly went to Pitino with a note from his wife asking Pitino to pay for college tuition, for their daughter along with a lump sum of money to be paid each month.
Sypher denies she tried to extort money from Pitino. While on the stand Pitino reportedly admits he and Sypher had sexual relations and says he made a mistake, but adamantly denies rape accusation. For more on Pitino's testimony click here.

Actually, she has four children. The youngest, a little girl, she had with someone from Pitino's staff whom she married in 2004. They're now in the process of a divorce.
While all parties in this are absolutely stupid - Pitino should do time for hiding this "encounter" - it's called adultery by the way. He's shamed everyone concerned - especially his wife and family.
Desertrose, are you kidding? There is a reason that we do not follow the archaic laws of religious works. Assuming that is what you are referring to, then I assume you agree with this statement . . .

If you use the interpretation excuse, I will choose to ignore adultery. If you use the "I wasn't referring to religion" excuse, then think about what you are implying.
why should Pitino do time for hiding the fact that he cheated on his wife? Clearly it's wrong to cheat but not illegal and if your gonna do it you certainly wouldn't tell anyone you did.
