Frank Caprio campaign prepares for Bill Clinton visit
Frank Caprio and members of his team are gearing up for former President Bill Clinton’s appearance.Thursday, July 29 at 2:00pm, former President Bill Clinton and Frank Caprio will speak at the Rhode Island Convention Center in downtown Providence
Doors will open at the Convention Center at 12:00pm. Members of the Caprio team have been hard at work asking people to show up earlier to raise some signs and a little noise to welcome in Bill Clinton.
Caprio is the only democrat running for Governor and was recently endorsed by Attorney General Patrick Lynch after he called it quits. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Rhode Island finds Chafee with 37% to Caprio’s 30% if John Robitaille is their GOP opponent. Robitaille, a former top aide to current Governor Don Carcieri, gets 23% of the vote. Two percent (2%) would vote for “some other candidate” and eight percent (8%) are undecided.
One can assume Frank Caprio is hoping Bill Clinton’s visit to Rhode Island will keep the momentum going as he makes his run for Governor.
