This week in giant phalluses

In a time when even "The Daily Show" is no respite for news cycle-induced rage, thank goodness for the world's greatest podcast, The Bugle.

For the second consecutive week, that 60-foot British roof penis had John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman in hysterics. ICYMI, some British teen painted a gigantic wang on the roof of his parents' mansion, and it went unnoticed for an entire year. Self-conscious as the Buglers are about how funny they find the roof penis, it hasn't stopped them from making joke after joke about it. Highlights!

Oliver: "But for me, this story brings up a number of key questions, Andy. Like one, what does this do to the house price? If they find that it's actually added value, then perhaps people will have to draw massive penises on their roofs to compete. These are tough times, Andy, it's a buyer's market! People used to have the smell of freshly baked bread and coffee to shift a house. Now it's all about the painted roof penis."

Zaltzman: "I think there's another question there, John: What on earth possesed a teenage boy to paint a massive shlong on his parents' roof? And I guess the obvious answer to that is he is a teenage boy, and his parents have a roof."

Fortunately for Rory McInnes, 18, he's off traveling for his gap year. Promised his dad after being notified by a newspaper of the humongous willy over his head, "When Rory gets home he will be given a scrubbing brush and white spirit and he can go and scrub it off."

(The word "scrub" means the same thing there as it does here, right?)

This week, a listener informed the Bugle of a gigantic dong right here in America. Meet the Florida state capitol:

Wow. This explains so much. Most especially the Florida legislature's obsession with Truck Nutz.
