Denver martial arts studio brings Jedi Academy to troubled youth

As you know, Star Wars is extremely popular around the world! Science Fiction conventions and Star Wars theme parties are popping up in cities and rural areas alike. The Force is truly among us, and Jedi "practitioners are turning up in every census count from England to New Zealand and even in the USA, and their numbers are growing fast! The Jedi movement is nearing 500,000 members Worldwide and counting!
In response to this international phenomenon, Brent Bingham of the Agoge IMA connected with Jack Boru – Creator of Modern Knights – to organize The Colorado Jedi Order, an officialy recognized 501c-3 non-profit organization. The CJO exists to benefit colorado at-risk-youth and to bring you classes and seminars geared for kids and adults to learn the ways of the Jedi and their use of the force and the energy weapon known as a light saber.
On September 11th, 2010 at 8am, and again on Sunday, Sept. 12th at 10am, inside the Sports Complex at Inverness in Englewood, CO, The CJO and the Denver Jedi Academy will host a Free Open House for the Whole Family! CJO is launching this yearly Social Service and Fundraising campaign on behalf of Hopeful Tomorrow, a National Childrens Charity. With this campaign and free Family Open House, The CJO offers “Live Action" Star Wars like activities to families, clubs, businesses and organizations to inform people about the less fortunate here in Denver and in Colorado, and how the Jedi Order is helping them right now!.
Saturday and Sunday's Battle Front activities will include:

Foam weapon and Nerf battle engagements

Games and Activities geared towards strengthening the Family bond through active play!

Super Fun Missions lead by real Black Belt Instructors!

Raising Funds For Youth at Risk!
This is a free event, however, we will accept any contributions towards the Hopeful Tomorrow Scholarship Program! ...and don't forget your light saber and Nerf guns! Costumes are encouraged.
