Red Bulls to host football world series

It has been announced, that the new Red Bull Arena, will be one of the sites to host the Football World Series in 2010. This is fantastic news for the Red Bull Organization, and will give them a chance, not only to play against some of the top teams in the world, but to also showcase their new state of the art arena.

The 2010 tournaments will also be played in Amsterdam, Holland; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Shanghai, China. Each venue will host a 4 game tournament, which although not yet announced, will feature some of the top club teams in the world.

Having NY host one of these tournaments, is a tremendous opportunity for the local fans to see some top quality soccer, and it gives the Red Bulls a chance to see how they fair against first-class opposition.

Teams who have appeared in the Football World Series in the past include, AC Milan, Manchester United, Barcelona and Boca Juniors, to name but a few.

The clubs that will be taking part in the 2010 competition are yet to be named, as well as dates, and ticket pricing. Red Bull season ticket holders will have a chance to purchase tickets prior to them going on sale to the general public, and that date will be announced in the very near future.

Red Bull New York Managing Director Erik Stover, after hearing the news, said, "Bringing the Football World Series to Red Bull Arena fulfills one of our commitments of bringing top international matches to the New York area", he went on to say, "having the Red Bulls participate in the tournament will give us the opportunity to compete against some of the top clubs in the world."
