What is the Oneness Blessing? Or as it is called in India, what is Deeksha?
Recently, Mile Hi Church, outside of Denver was offering a service I wasn’t familiar with – the Oneness Blessing. Curious, I attended the first service, not knowing what to expect or what I was getting myself into. What I received was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I highly recommend it without reservation to everyone. If you ever have the opportunity to receive the Oneness Blessing, say "yes" and be willing to begin your journey.
To explain the Oneness Blessing though, I need to begin with the concept of oneness. Part II of this article discusses the Oneness Blessing.
Oneness
We are living in an amazing time on this planet in which everyone is vital to the evolution of humankind. Within my articles, I often tell you how powerful you are, not to empower you (though I hope I do), but to stress that you’re needed now (not next year, not next month, not next week). Your presence is needed today. Listen to your inner voice beckoning you to your purpose, your higher calling. Why are you here? To shine! To raise the awareness of the one life! To demonstrate that you are a unique manifestation of that one life – God! You are here to raise the consciousness of the planet.
When I was younger and I heard others speak about raising the consciousness (or awareness) - it always sounded a bit “woo woo” to me. At the risk of sounding the same, let me suggest that humankind is evolving. We are in a preparation phase – all hands are needed and everyone has an integral part to play in this. We are laying a foundation and preparing humanity for its next phase, the return to our natural state of being. That is, a return to who we were before we came to be in our present state – a return to oneness.
Oneness is the state of ‘being one with each other and one with God.’ It’s a state of unity in which we spirituality meld, both of us along with the Divine Presence. What is the Divine Presence? Call it God, or Spirit, or whatever you refer to your highest power.
I bet you hadn’t thought of yourself as a rebel before, but you are. You’re here to do some mighty important work. As each of you strives to know God intimately, you are laying the groundwork, raising the awareness of the planet – or taking part of the shift that is occurring on this planet.
Be part of the rapid evolution in consciousness. Be a rebel.

I love that you continue to share this message, that each of us are important, here for a reason: to SHINE! As a person trying to find the correct/best/right path for me to do so, it helps to be reminded that even though at times it feels I make absolutely no difference in the larger scheme of things...that below the surface of every event/action in my life lays my true purpose. The fact that I'm trying to act from a place of purpose and meaning tells me I DO have a purpose. Can't wait to hear more about the Blessing!
