The New Orleans Saints are flying high after defeating the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 in the NFC Championship game en route to their first ever Super Bowl appearance. Now they'll be gracing the cover of the February 1, 2010 Sports Illustrated. Who Dat!

Not all fans may be too pleased about this considering the supposed "curse" that has long been associated with those that have their pictures on the cover. Maybe it's not as proficient as the Madden video game curse, but it still has a bit of history.
Most recently there were two covers of Sports Illustrated available to the pubic and they hit newsstands before the NFC and AFC Championship games. On the covers were the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings. Take that for what it's worth.
It's still a really good feeling for Saints' fans everywhere to see the recognition they truly deserve as the black and gold get ready to set foot onto the biggest stage of them all in just two weeks time in Miami.
Speaking of Miami, Reggie Bush and the Saints made the cover of Sports Illustrated back in October after the miraculous comeback victory over the Miami Dolphins. The undefeated streak continued and now the Saints are going to the Super Bowl so I don't see much merit in any curse.
