NOPD releases route for New Orleans Saints' parade

It's media week in Miami right now as the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts prepare to do battle in Super Bowl XLIV on Sunday night. There are events planned right up until game time on Sunday and even a press conference on Monday for the winners.

But that's not the final event for the Saints and their fans. Win or lose.

Tuesday, February 9 at 5:00 P.M. Central; there will be a parade including the entire New Orleans Saints' team. Come out and enjoy the festivities and show your support and appreciation for the best Saints' team in the history of the franchise. Let's hope they are all wearing rings.

The New Orleans Police Department has now released the full parade route. It begins at the corner of LaSalle and Poydras and goes a long way before hitting Canal Street and going down both sides before ending at Mardi Gras World.

Hope to see you all there decked out in black and gold and showing your pride.

I have heard they did that so that people who have to work and go to school would be able to attend. Am guessing with as long as the route is, even those getting off at 5 might still be able to catch it somewhere along the line.

That's the only way I'd be able to attend. 5pm sounds perfect.

I think 5pm is awesome because that will give lots of fans time to catch the parade.. and being a season ticket holder and owning my own business I would have had to closed for the whole day.. if it was early in the day. Because i would have not missed it . WHO DAT!!!!!!

Do you know if there will be any arrangements made for handicapped individuals? We would love to bring a 29 year old young man that is a dedicated Saints fan. He is an individual with Cerebal Palsy and has loved the Saints his entire life.
