Popping Rolaids to deal with heartburn? Taking Tylenol to deal with pregnancy aches and pains? Using Tylenol PM to help you sleep through the night?
If you're running to the medicine cabinet for these over-the-counter cures, you might also run the risk of getting seriously sick.
A recent recall on Tylenol, and other common medicine-cabinet staples such as Motrin, Benadryl, Rolaids, Simply Sleep and St. Joseph's aspirin, should have you running to the medicine cabinet to check your lot numbers and labels.
The press release posted on McNeil's website states, "The company is initiating this recall following an investigation of consumer reports of an unusual moldy, musty, or mildew-like odor that, in a small number of cases, was associated with temporary and non-serious gastrointestinal events. These include nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, or diarrhea. This precautionary action is voluntary and has been taken in consultation with the FDA."
