By now, you've probably heard it a hundred times: "Breast is best." But like so many skills required of a new mother, breastfeeding isn't something that comes naturally. For most women, it's a skill that needs to be learned, and taught.
Sure, you had a lactation consultant during those first few hours in the hospital, but now your home, alone, exhausted, and (let's be honest) having trouble getting this whole breastfeeding thing under control.
The good news is, you're not alone. Once a month, breastfeeding moms and kids gather at the First United Lutheran Church to share tips, trade stories, and drink in companionship and support as part of the local efforts of La Leche League (LLL).
Can't make the monthly meetings? Need help sooner? Simply call the Atlanta Area Hotline (404) 681-6342 or email the Kennesaw/Acworth LLL Leaders with your questions and concerns: Karen (patchfire@comcast.net); Mel (melw0103@yahoo.com).
Join them this coming Tuesday, 10am, December 8, at the First United Lutheran Church, 3481 Campus Loop Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Click here for directions or enter your address into the map below. Regular meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
Not in Kennesaw? Find local breastfeeding help in other areas of Georgia, or search LLL International for other areas of the United States (also allows for search by country).
