Matt Cassel should have a big day...
It’s amazing how much you rely on power.
The New Hampshire ice storm knocked out my power last Thursday night. Over a week later and I still don’t have power. Trying to write for a web site when you don’t have power is like trying to play defense in the NFL when you don’t have an NFL quality cornerback.
Yes, that was a shot at our New England Patriots.
Larry Fitzgerald has had this game circled for weeks. I’m sure he can’t wait to match up against Ellis Hobbs and company. The Patriots will have their hands full with the Cardinals’ offense. Kurt Warner is putting up MVP-like numbers. Their passing game is as good as any in the NFL.
But their defense is terrible.
They give up a ton of points, a ton of yards, and as the Vikings proved they can be pushed around.
The Cardinals aren’t the same team on the road, especially when “on the road” means playing on the East Coast.
The Patriots need to win. The Cardinals need to stay healthy. The weather is going to be terrible. Anquan Boldin and J.J. Arrington both may not play. Even when properly motivated, the Cardinals’ defense isn’t very good.
And the Patriots’ offense can put up points on almost anyone.
All signs point to a Patriot victory.
Prediction: Patriots 31, Cardinals 24
Here’s to hoping I get my power back before Sunday!
