Police find Tiger Woods at fault for car crash, Tiger Woods car crash story. In a press conference Tuesday, the Florida Highway patrol (FHP) announced that Tiger Woods was at fault for the car crash near his home early Friday morning.
Tiger Woods will have to pay a fine of $164 and it is four points on his driving record. The FHP announced that any other charges will not be pursued. The FHP had several scheduled appointments to discuss the accident with Tiger Woods over the weekend, but he canceled all of them.
Tiger Woods left his home around 2:30 am Friday morning, and crashed his car into a fire hydrant and then a tree. His wife, Erin heard the crash and ran out to help. She was unable to get into the car, so she broke the back window with a golf club, and helped him out.
A neighbor called 911, and when rescuers arrived Tiger Woods was in and out of consciousness. He was taken to the hospital and released a few hours later in good condition. He has been recovering at his Florida home ever since, and has cancelled all golf tournaments for the rest of the year.
