Bo Pelini has his Huskers poised for a potential championship run in 2010.

ESPN gave the 2010 Huskers high praise several months ago when they ranked the Big Red number nine heading into next season. However, that's nothing compared to what college football expert Phil Steele thinks of Nebraska's chances this coming season. Steele, who's known for being one of the most accurate predicting experts has Nebraska coming in at number five in his top 25 poll.
One thing to clarify about Steele's rankings is that this is where he believes teams will end up once all is said and done, it's not a preseason poll based on last year's accomplishments. Unfortunately for Husker Nation, if Steele is right about when he expects from the Big 12, Nebraska will lose in the conference championship to Oklahoma, who he has as number one and in the BCS National Championship game.
High expectations have been set for the Huskers in 2010 and I think anything less than a conference title would be a disappointment. It's certainly not going to be easy to accomplish, but Pelini has one one of the top defenses in the country with an offense that should be greatly improved. If all works out, Nebraska should find themselves in their first BCS game since the 2001 National Championship.

With each magazine coming out NU keeps climbing. We only need 5 more magazines to come out until we find ourselves as National champions. lol.
