DeMar DeRozan led the Toronto Raptors summer squad to a 100 - 91 win over the Houston Rockets Tuesday afternoon in the Las Vegas Summer League.

DeRozan, the 9th overall selection in the 2009 NBA draft, was the catalyst in this one; scoring 23 points on 10 of 15 from the floor.  Showcasing the high - flying acrobatic play and sweet shooting stroke from the perimeter that made him look so attractive to the Raps brass before last season, the 6'7" shooting guard continues to show vast improvement in his overall game.

Solomon Alabi, brought over in a trade after being selected 50th overall, put in a respectable effort posting 10 points (2 - 4 fg, 6 - 6 ft) and 6 rebounds (5 offensive) in just over 18 minutes of action.  The 7'1" center is much more known for his shot blocking ability, however during summer league competition he has shown that there may be more to his game than just defense.

Patrick Patterson, drafted by the Houston Rockets with the 14th pick, was once again solid posting a near double - double with 14 points and 9 rebounds.  Patterson has consistently shown throughout the summer league that not only can he bang down low, but that he can knock down shots from the perimeter at a fairly decent rate.

Bobby Brown, currently playing with the Raptors summer league team, had a huge game scoring 20 points on 6 of 7 shots from the floor and 6 of 7 from the free throw line.   Brown has bounced around the league most recently playing with the Sacramento Kings and the New Orleans Hornets.

Ed Davis, the Raptors 2010 first round draft pick, was not that impressive today; contributing just 4 points and 4 rebounds in just over 26 minutes of action.
